We would like to thank Alan De Laune for his recent fundraising success. Alan braved the skies on the 16th July by completing his daring wing walking challenge. The funds he raised from this were split between two local charities, Little Miracles and Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.
Alan was installed as Master of his Masonic Lodge (Etheldreda Lodge 2107) in Newmarket this February and this year Freemasons are also celebrating 300 years of Masonary. He wanted to help two fantastic local charities and to carry on helping the Masons support their local community.
For Alan to complete this challenge and raise thousands of pounds for his chosen charities he had to lose a few himself. To take part in wing walking you must be within a strict weight range and so this event also involved a strict diet to slim down.
Lauren Mott, Marketing Executive for Little Miracles CEN said: “This is an exciting and unique fund-raising event that we are very thankful to be involved in. Well done to Alan for bravely taking to the skies to complete this challenge and in doing so raising a brilliant total for two great charities”
