Little Miracles CEN are very proud to be working with the National Citizen Service (NCS).
The NCS programme is for 15 to 17 years-old’s and is a great chance for them to embark on exhilarating challenges, making their mark and building skills for work and life. We have worked with a number of the NCS, CUCT NCS and IG Cambs teams in the area to deliver fantastic projects, fundraising and also provide them with an insight to the work that we do for the families of children with Autism, additional needs and disabilities.
Justin Heron, Operations Manager for LMCEN said; “We would like to express our deepest thanks to all of the NCS teams that we have worked alongside. We have a lot of gratitude for the tremendous amount of work and effort they have put in each time, for different events and fun days as well as the level of maturity that they have shown. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with.”
Holly Hayes, Team Leader at NCS / IG Cambs, said: “During the NCS programme we support young people to become more independent through team building, leadership and communication tasks in the first phase. Following that we then educate the young people on local charities, such as Little Miracles, to show off the work which they do and how they are able to help. The final stage involves the participants planning and delivering an event which will raise money and/or awareness for their charity. We have worked with Little Miracles on a number of occasions doing a variety of events where the participants have shown real maturity and professionalism, positively representing both NCS and Little Miracles.
