Sunday September 18th saw us spend the day with the fantastic education team at IWM Duxford.
Our day was spent with a mixtures of classes building a Boeing B-29 and learning about its history, aviation and flight, as well as taking in all the exhibits that Duxford has to offer across its expansive grounds.
With such exhibits covering Land Warfare, the Battle of Britain, AirSpace and the American Air Museum but a few, the site offers a fanatic amount of education as well as visual in take. IWM Duxford is home to many wonderful aviation memories and creations, allowing you to get up close to the likes of Concorde, the Vulcan Bomber, the SR71 Blackbird and an array of Spitfires as just an example.
Justin Heron, Operations Manager for LMCEN said; “It’s the second time that we have teamed up with IWM Duxford and they provided brilliant support once more. We would like to say a massive thanks to Holly Webster and LLewela Selfridge for helping us organise the event and do such an excellent job in the classes that they ran. We had over 70 members with us on the day who all found it very engaging so it was another fantastic success all round in a beautiful and historic venue.”
