We have received the really fantastic news that we have been selected in the first ten groups/charities to benefit from the The Cambridge Building Society (CBS) “Cash for the Community Campaign” in association with the Cambridge News.
A total of 61 groups/charities applied for the scheme so we are hugely fortunate to have made it into the primary 10 selected amongst some other fantastic organisations doing some amazing work in many different ways. This provides us with the opportunity to take a share of the £10,000 funding being generously put in place by the CBS.
What is the next stage in the scheme?
A total of 15 groups will make up the final count to get a share of the funding. The next step in the scheme is for a second batch of 10 groups to go to a public vote, of which 5 will go through.
The final 15 groups and charities will then be profiled in the Cambridge News from Monday March 2nd 2015 and use social media and other means to promote themselves during this stage and onwards.
How can you help us?
From Monday March 9th 2015 through to Saturday April 4th 2015, daily tokens will be printed in the Cambridge News of which we need to collect as many as possible all the way through this time period!.
The total number of tokens submitted will then be divided by 10,000 to establish a £ value per token. The share that Little Miracles receives will be based on the percentage of tokens we have in the overall amount and turned into money. So in short, the more we collect, the more we can gain!
We will be continuing to update you on the scheme as time moves forwards so if you this is something that you can collect for us, act as a collection point for or know a school, group or company you are involved with that can help too it would be great to hear about it!
Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com if you think you or anyone you know can help us in anyway with this. Its going to be a huge effort required for the course of the 24 days the tokens are released!.
A massive thanks once more to the Cambridgeshire Building Society for including us in the initial 10. Brilliant!
