On September 2nd at Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge we are going to try to “Be More Like Sam”
Our fundraising challenge is for the children that Little Miracles supports, their families and our volunteers to attempt to climb the height of Mount Snowdon (1085m) or higher in just over 2hrs as support for our volunteer Sam Chinery. Sam is bravely taking on the “Man v Mountain” 22 mile run / 5500ft ascent challenge around Snowdonia on the same day.
She has entered the legendary mountain adventure race which starts at sea level in the stunning Caernarfon Castle. She will then need to weaves her way to the summit of Snowdon and down the other side into Dinorwic Quarry. Along the way where is an array of punishing obstacles, including the infamous Vertical Kilometre, for her to tackle before she can cross the finishline victorious. It’s not for the feint hearted!
It’s going to be a very tough but fun challenge for us all! The money raised will go towards our projects supporting local children with autism, additional needs and disabilities.

Sam’s Fundraising Story…
So, way back in November of last year, while I was cozy on the sofa under a blanket and no doubt clutching a hot water bottle, my husband Mark suggested a visit to Wales (I love Wales so tick!) and a visit to Mount Snowdon (stunning scenary so tick!) . .. skirting over the teeny 22 mile run and obstacles which would be involved!
This is a huge personal challenge for me having previously struggled to run a 5K non stop, let alone 7 times that distance with a 5000 odd feet ascent thrown in for good measure! I have sworn, I have cried and I have hurt like I have never hurt before and we are only 12 miles into our training runs but I am also excited to see what we can both achieve!
We would both really appreciate you supporting us to support two charities close to our hearts who we will be running for. I am running for Little Miracles Cambridge, Ely & Newmarket and Mark is running for Macmillian Cancer Support.
Thank you xxx
